The Brooklyn Nets have agreed in principle with Andray Blatche on a one-year nonguaranteed contract, a league source told ESPNNewYork.com on Wednesday.
Blatche was released in July by the Washington Wizards via the amnesty process.
The Nets have been looking for additional depth up front with no traditional center on the roster behind starter Brook Lopez. They recently auditioned Eddy Curry and Hilton Armstrong, but Armstrong signed a contract to play in Greece the next day.
Blatche, 26, is obviously not a traditional center but is seen as a potential bargain after his release by the Wizards in July and a summer of productive workouts with Houston-based John Lucas.
The 6-foot-11, 267-pounder averaged career highs of 16.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for the Wizards in 2010-11, but was finally amnestied by Washington after years of on- and off-court ups and downs.

Humphries是兩年2400萬Blathce是一年110萬底薪而且是不保證約,表現差或態度不好隨時可以叫他滾哪個先發應該很明顯才對~
別這樣嘛...他是體格粗壯但沒啥爆發力的白人前鋒...
Humphries已經是去年籃網檯面上比較能看的大個子好歹有場均10籃板1火鍋再粹練一兩年也許防守還會變好
Blatche最大的問題就是打球態度不佳,如果他能專注在球場上,保持謙虛的態度,外加苦練,NBA的名大前鋒他才有一席之地.
之前他跟McGee是巫師的兩大毒瘤,原本巫師還寄望這兩人能成長成令人振奮的鋒線,但理想總是理想.
現在巫師的籃下有Okafor和Nene在,搞不好能在下季給巫師一個驚喜.
