Laie, HI—Two Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball players were named to the Pacific West Conference Honor Roll this week for their play in last week’s games. Jet Chang and Bracken Funk were accorded the honor by the conference office after the Seasiders’ two wins last week.
Chang, a senior from Yilan, Taiwan, scored 25 points and came up with two steals and two rebounds in the team’s win over Dominican in the only game he played during the week. He made 10-18 (55.5%) of his field goal attempts for the game and was 3-6 (50%) from three-point range. It is Chang’s fifth time on the honor roll this season.
Funk, a sophomore from Highland, Utah and Lone Peak High School, averaged 10.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in the two BYU-Hawaii wins. He shot 64.3 percent (9-14) from the field for the week. It is Funk’s second honor roll appearance this season.
