Laie, HI—Two Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball player were named to the Pacific West Conference Honor Roll this week for their play in last week’s game. Bracken Funk and Jet Chang were both honored by the conference for their part in the Seasiders’ win over Dominican.
Funk, a sophomore from Highland, Utah and Lone Peak High School, scored 14 points, grabbed six rebounds, and handed out four assists in the win. He shot 75 percent (6-8) from the field, 2-3 from the free throw line and came up with three steals. It is Funk’s fifth time appearing on the honor roll this season.
Chang, a senior from Yilan, Taiwan, scored 29 points and dished out five assists in the win. He shot 68.8 percent (11-16) from the field, 2-4 from three-point range, and a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line. It is Chang’s sixth time on the honor roll this season.
