由于NCAA传统强队马里兰大学助理教练 Chuck Driesell 和 South Kent 高中教练 Raphael Chillious 特殊的关系，马里兰大学成为几个追求韩国少年金真秀的学校。金真秀身高2米04，1989年11月出生，2006年成为韩国历史上最年轻的国手。

同时马里兰还看上了金真秀的2队友 Assane Sene 和 Mo Creek。South Kent 是全美最出色的高中之一，近几年涌现 Dorrell Wright 和 Andray Blatche 这些直接跳进NBA的高中生。

除了马里兰大学之外，追求金真秀的大学还有同在ACC的传统强队乔治亚理工，今年NCAA四强乔治城大学，传统强队印第安纳，还有招进张兆旭的加州大学。

金真秀今年夏天代表韩国在世青赛场均14.6分10.8板，韩国取得该比赛历史上最好的3胜。

金好象在美国读书兼训练过一段时间.以他的身体条件作为小前锋来培养是很有前途的,但如作为中锋或大前锋来培养,我看是没可能进NBA的.

金真（鍾）秀，前南韓第一中鋒金裕宅之子，203cm 1989年次，與其他203cm的籃球員最大不同處，在於從小有系統的栽培。2006年亞青賽事中擔任4號位有不錯的表現。同年8月參與南韓於世錦賽前舉辦之邀請賽，於對陣美國隊時擔任3號位，動作靈活膽識足夠。2006.12月原身列南韓亞運名單中，因河聲鎮突然被NBA公鹿解雇，臨時遭更換。2007年U19世錦賽，南韓以91-75擊敗中國，拿下第11名，這場比賽中，攻下25分、16籃板外帶阻攻、抄截各3，數據很優，顯示其每年確有相當成長幅度。以前曾看過一些報導，說其在美國是主打2號位，看過他幾場比賽視頻，確有其可能。由於其單薄的身板，相信受限於遺傳，也不易有過大的改變。這樣的身體素質，在亞洲2、3號位堪稱一絕，但是在強烈身體素質與運動性要求中的NBA，唯有其練就超穩定及準確的三分投射能力，兼具控球/傳球前鋒的素養，否則仍只可能成為NBA的邊緣球員。

On the crazy Korean team, a fun squad to watch, restlessly running the court, shooting, slashing and passing the ball, Jin Soo Kim emerges as the player with the biggest potential. Curiously, he did not play on the day South Korea upset Turkey, as he was injured, but he delivered in the games he could step into the court.

Jin Soo is a very skinny forward with decent athleticism and a very solid array of skills. He is an excellent long-range shooter, particularly in catch-and-shoot fashion, eventually capable of netting off-the-dribble attempts. Also, he can nicely put the ball on the floor with both hands, even if not enjoying great ball-handling skills, at least attacking the basket with nice quickness and determination. His physical limitations probably scare him away from the low post. He amassed a large amount of rebounds thanks to his positioning and timing, but also given the lack of size of his teammates. On defense, he is pretty active, helping his teammates with his nice shot-blocking ability (showing again nice timing), although his lateral quickness might be questionable for a perimeter player.

Actually, his position on the court is the biggest challenge he faces. It is not clear at all that he will be able to play the small forward position. His skills seem more suited for the PF spot, just as his athleticism, but physically he is extremely weak and it remains to be seen how much stronger he will get. Size chimes in also as he stands somewhere between 6-8 and 6-9, and will not make up for other shortcomings with his length.

Kim is yet another American high school product, this time from South Kent, although being part of the 2009 class he still has two more years left before he decides on what college he wants to attend.

大哥，我也没有说周鹏好啊，更没有不屑人家的意思吧！！！我只是说这种小孩太多了，没必要被NCAA看中就好像很厉害，NCAA离NBA其实还很遥远，再说去NCAA也没多了不起啊，别说大陆球员，就算台湾不也是有好多孩子去NCAA打过球嘛，结果到NBA了吗！！！亚洲的球员本身身体素质要差点，还是现实点好吧！！

举个例子，现在和颜行书以及王信凯一个队的凯塞尔江，你去查查NBA选秀上，从小被人看好了，可是现在呢，连81一线队都进不去，只能去云南红河，了，人家才18岁啊。

所以，我不是看不起人家，我只是对这样的人进NBA比较悲观而已，就算进了NBA，难道像河马，WZZ一样游荡了一圈就回来啊，那去了又有啥意思呢，还是踏踏实实的在自己联赛好好练吧，你看看姚明和易建联，人家还不是自己练出来的。

还有，无论是那个国家球员我都没有偏见，如陈信安在国王试训时，我就很看好他嘛，可惜 ，，理想和差距确实很大，美国像他这样的球员太多了，你想去NBA就要有别人没有的特点，不然难呀。。。。。这条真理适合所有亚洲球员。

我就是论事，不带任何民族色彩，我对亚洲球员本身确实抱着悲观看法，就算有了姚明，但是总体还是很落后，可以批评我的看法，但不要说我带民族情绪，要是带我也不会来这里发泄！！！

I dont see any other asian players other than chenjianghua getting featured on Draftexpress.

赶快去美国吧，继续留在韩国的话估计又要被练废，2米03的身高，在韩国日后肯定会被推到大前的位置上。以他的身体条件想在大前位置上打出名堂真的很困难，如果去美国打小前的话估计还是有前途的。他使我马上想到了江苏的易立，很好的材料就这样基本的练废了。

看過亞青賽的人都知道，這個人最多只是NCAA的水準，打3號位運球不過關，打４號位瘦弱且沒有背筐能力．NBA對他來說幾乎沒有可能...

I have been highly skeptical of NBADRAFT.net the last few months, especially the way they have been hyping up players. A good example would be Hasheem Tabeet, NBADRAFT.net placed Hasheem as a top 10 pick in the 2007 mock draft when it was clear to anyone watching him play that he was too raw to be entering the draft, let alone getting drafted in the top 10. Had he believed the hype and entered the draft, Hasheem would have probably fallen all the way to the second round. Draftexpress is a website that actually explains why they put players where they do on mock drafts, therefore showing more credibility and responsibility in the process. Listen, mone of the above mentioned asian players are top prospects, and probably never will be. But to hear a person so directly trashing a Korean prospect in favour of a chinese one and greatly distorting the facts to make Kim appear a inferior player even when placed in China to me is quite ridiculous. Kim lead the Korean team to 3 victories in the u-19 world championships. You can say all you want about how the chinese team sent was missing some of its best players, but can you honestly say that even with all the players you mentioned above in the chinese team, that the chinese team would be able to duplicate Korea's achievement??? The answer is far from certain, so why dont you give Kim some credit for proving his stripes against some of the top competition in the world in his age group instead of trashing him and belittling his achievements.

其實我覺得能去Maryland這種NCAA一級強校去打打就挺好的了，進不了NBA又如何？NCAA一級名校進不了NBA或者被NBA淘汰的本來就是多數。能在Maryland打兩年也是很好的訓練，對身價應該有提昇，至少以後有希望去歐洲撈撈錢。當然壞處是這幾年賺不到錢就是了，不過應該比打韓國聯賽好吧...

           亚洲球员如今进ＮＢＡ的有几个？这几个是什么类型的（如果不算田卧的话），我也曾经幻想过中国的小个（２１０以下）能去ＮＢＡ，但只是幻想，真的太难了，小个球员去ＮＢＡ比姚和易还要艰难，能去ＮＣＡＡ锻炼是好事，但ＮＣＡＡ与ＮＢＡ真的是两码事．光看来大陆打ＣＢＡ这些外援就知道了，他们一场三四十分是家常便饭，但在美国像他们这样没进ＮＢＡ的太多太多了．

　　　如果说亚洲以后还有进ＮＢＡ球员的话，９９％还是２１０以上的大个子，后卫和前锋要进ＮＢＡ的话，有一个条件，除非带领自己的国家队打败欧洲豪强，像希腊的帕帕鲁卡斯与斯潘诺理斯这样．

金真秀和周鹏，丁锦辉，是同一档次的球员，在u19世青赛上表现要好过中国的徐咏了，

他的潜力可能比周鹏要大，但总体来说，最多也是nba边缘人的水平。
