說到Smart, 本週將"第二次"去Orlando參加魔術的workout, 去年魔術就已經準備用第二順位選他, 目前看來是認真要選

另外Noah Vonleh在Orlando的workout評價是"very impressed", 自體測後身價一直在漲

Parker掉下來的機會並不是沒有...我想甚至有50%以上機會目前認定的前三會掉出來, 所以爵士的第五順位並不急著動, 等選秀當天再說

公鹿最好玩了...成績最差, 球隊烏煙瘴氣, 天冷地偏遠, 換新老闆

即使是第二順位, 目前Embiid, Wiggins, Parker這三位都不肯去參加公鹿的workouts(比起來爵士算好的了)

Exum策略是保持神秘--完全不參加各隊的workouts

公鹿打算親自去L.A.拜訪Exum, 以取代請他來workout, 如果談定, 很可能就內定第二順位選他

目前入圍的三位:

Quin Snyder: 成功的大學教練, 到NBA幾隊都有好評的助理教練, 主要是他把Jim Boylen比下去, Jim Boylen在Utah大學的名聲太差, 又扣不少分

Adrian Griffin: 公牛助理教練, Tom Thibodeau底下的防守專家--正是爵士需要的

Alvin Gentry: 經驗豐富的教練, 助理教練時期分別在Larry Brown, Popovich, D'Antoni(還有現在的Doc River)等大教練底下待過, 主要有5年太陽隊總教練, 總教練戰績是335勝370負...兩次被開除
 
希望是前兩者, 如果是Snyder可能會選McDermott...學長Korver在老鷹用得很高興, 23(或35)順位再來選Glenn Robinson III或KJ McDaniels補強防守, McDermott防守進步前甚至能假性先發(或Burks拉上先發, 第六人搶分有McDermott很夠了), 前者是Burke隊友, 後者在爵士很有好評, 不管誰當教練我猜都會選其中一位

如果是Griffin...公牛的SF一直是防守重點, 第5可能Aaron Gordon就選下去了, 23再選Glenn Robinson III或KJ McDaniels, 當成Jimmy Butler來用也不一定

Snyder was terrible at Missouri. We, rivalries' fans, wished he stayed at Missouri forever. Not saying he will not succeed at NBA though.

抱歉，我真的看錯了，應該是說他在Missouri很嚴格，但卻希望他能一直留在Missouri大學 

Snyder當初帶Missouri，就如鄉民所言「生涯年即菜鳥年」，往後每況愈下，還鬧了些drama，有個球員打女友被鬧大了，學校沒幫他把事情搓掉，他火大把學校付錢給球員的事抖出來... 我記得的大概就這樣。

所以就灰頭土臉走人了。

半夜被這消息吵醒:  Snyder 勝出, 3+1 年, 第4年team option, 最驚人的是這句:

Snyder is expected to pursue European coaching legend Ettore Messina as an assistant.

是否是DL在歐洲就先佈好的局? 也是 Snyder當然獲選的原因?

果真如此, 這可是不下於當年Jerry-Phil的組合啊....

如果說NBA還有人能把Messina找來, 就是要靠當了總教練的Snyder了!

去除名牌不談, 小弟從瘦到胖的三位白人人選:

*** Hunsaker, Matt Harpring, Jim Boylen

若不考慮跟Sloan的關係, Boylen看起來會是最佳人選(但有印象的猶他大學球迷到現在都還很恨他)

Hunsaker的話則是三人在地最有人望的一個, 甚至可以考慮拉Andre Miller來當助理教練...不過小弟雖然喜歡Miller, 但很質疑他的個性是否適合 XD

另一個聽到有趣的人選是Dan Majerle

擔任過 NCAA 密蘇里大學的教練資歷，以及NBA 發展聯盟 D-League 的教練資歷。

杜克大學畢業後，未被 NBA 選上後，沒幾年，就開始走教練的路。

特地查了 1999~2006 年，Missouri 大學被 NBA 選上的球員。
2000 年，第一輪，第 10 順位，Keyon Dooling ( 快艇挑上，有名的浪人 )
2002 年，第一輪，第 20 順位，Kareem Rush  ( 暴龍選的，轉至湖人。 )
2004 年，第二輪，第  25 順位，Rickey Paulding ( 活塞相中的，但沒簽約打 NBA。 )
2005 年，第一輪，第 25 順位，Linas Kleiza ( 當時，拓荒者挑的，但轉至金塊發跡。 )

大致上，從上述球員的可以看出，他執教出球員的特色與風格。
Kleiza 算是國際球員，風格定型得較早，Dooling 與 Rush 大致就是外線為主的雙能衛類型球員。
( 有趣的是 Brandon Rush，也就是 Kareem Rush  的弟弟，目前人也在爵士隊。)
這樣看，也許，Gordon Hayward、Alec Burks 與 Trey Burke 等鋒線類型球員，在 Quin Snyder
的執教風格底下，比較像是可以合得來的類型球員。

當 Snyder 還是杜克大學時期，是名控球後衛，到大二之後，幾乎都是先發，直到畢業。
Snyder became a starter in his second season (1987) and started almost all games the
remainder of his career。

再繼續查了，1989 選秀的資料，Danny Ferry ( Duke ) 是當年的榜眼，但直到 1990 年才加入騎士，
( Danny Ferry 第一年竟是到義大利打球 ! ) 2000~2003 年效力馬刺，幸運取得一枚冠軍戒指。
此外，1989 選秀，比較有名的控球後衛有 Nick Anderson ( 籃網)，與 Mookie Blaylock ( 老鷹)，
Dana Barros (超音速)，B.J. Armstrong ( 公牛)。

Team is expected to hire Brad Jones as an assistant and promote Alex Jensen to bench.

Snyder possibly hiring Messina. Can't confirm it. Told it may be hard to get him to leave CSKA Moscow $.

Ettore Messina is losing his job at CSKA Moscow, leading to speculation that he'll end up in the NBA.

It wouldn't be surprising if other teams try to make a play on snatching Alex Jensen from the Utah Jazz.
