Damian Lillard's five-year extension with Trail Blazers worth $125 million-plus

Two-time All-Star Damian Lillard has agreed to a five-year contract extension with the Portland Trail Blazers paying between $125 million-$129 million, his agent Aaron Goodwin told Yahoo Sports.

 As a first-round pick in the 2012 NBA draft, Lillard was eligible to negotiate a contract extension until Oct. 31. The 2013 NBA Rookie of the Year can make the deal official on July 9 when NBA's moratorium on player business is lifted. The exact figures of Lillard's extension will depend on the amount of the NBA salary cap next season.

Lillard went from Weber State to the sixth overall selection in the 2012 draft. The Oakland, Calif., native has career per-game averages of 21 points, 6.1 assists and one steal. Lillard will become the cornerstone of the Blazers if All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge signs elsewhere as a free agent.

"I'm just thankful, man," Lillard told Yahoo Sports. "I play the game out of love, and it's inspiring to be rewarded for doing things the right way and being a high-character person. It's also comforting knowing that none of what I've accomplished has been handed to me."

當然，Damian Lillard 需要表現更多領導能力，來證明自己值這身價，並且打出依舊犀利的球風。
 Damian Lillard  ( 2012 年，首輪第 6  順位，年僅 24 歲 ) 和
 C.J. McCollum  ( 2013 年，首輪第 10 順位，年僅 23 歲 )這雙刀，讓人充滿期待。

禁區除了 Meyers Leonard ( 2012 年，首輪第 11 順位，年僅 23 歲 )可以扛，
預計的先發大前鋒 Mason Plumlee ( 2013 年，首輪第 22 順位，年僅 25 歲 ) 也是相當有潛力，入選過美國國家隊。
先發的最後ㄧ名球員來自黃蜂的 Gerald Henderson，他是 6 年 NBA 資歷的搖擺人，為 27 歲。

年輕有潛力是新一季拓荒者最大的特色，老將目前只剩 Chris Kaman 。
6-10 的前鋒 Noah Vonleh ( 2014 年，首輪第 9 順位，年僅 19 歲 ) 則是另一個期待，
趁著拓荒者禁區荒，被簽來的 Ed Davis，可望也有不錯的表現機會。

先發都成大問題了，就別多想強化板凳了吧。

本人不太清楚,為什麼要簽他,簽這麼貴?

本季季後賽,Lillard表現的並沒去年『0.9秒絕殺』的季後賽,來的亮眼.

把他簽貴了,變成要延攬其他不錯的球員,就有難度.我甚至覺得:新球季,拓荒者可能頂不進西區8強.

現在想想,拓荒者,變成這樣,很令人感慨,如果當年Roy不要帶著膝傷,硬打季後賽;然後Oden,能夠保持健康,一季打個50場(聽說最近又嚷著要重回NBA,就看後續發展了) ,拓荒者,真的會不錯.

只要求Oden一季打50場?沒辦法,他的"玻璃"腳,要求不了太多.
