    Funk and Chang Honored

     

    Laie, HI—Two Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball players were named to the Pacific West Conference Honor Roll this week for their play in last week’s games.  Jet Chang and Bracken Funk were accorded the honor by the conference office after the Seasiders’ two wins last week.

    Chang, a senior from Yilan, Taiwan, scored 25 points and came up with two steals and two rebounds in the team’s win over Dominican in the only game he played during the week.  He made 10-18 (55.5%) of his field goal attempts for the game and was 3-6 (50%) from three-point range.  It is Chang’s fifth time on the honor roll this season.

    Funk, a sophomore from Highland, Utah and Lone Peak High School, averaged 10.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in the two BYU-Hawaii wins.  He shot 64.3 percent (9-14) from the field for the week.  It is Funk’s second honor roll appearance this season.

    有沒有熟悉NCAA賽制的朋友可以解說一下,這樣子BYU-H有機會打NCAA II ELLITE 8嗎?

    另外昨天在看一些張宗憲評論時,看到有人封他是台版的Jimmer Fredette

    希望Linsanity現象可以幫Jet加分,讓他也可以有機會出現在NBA賽場上

    目前還剩下四場, 假設BYU-H全勝, 也要Grand Canyon剩下全輸才能"保證"進入NCAA II West Regional Tournament

    D2 沒有所謂的 Conference Tournament (類似外卡)

    所以, 基本上是沒有NCAA II West Regional Tournament了......................

    Funk, a sophomore from Highland, Utah and Lone Peak High School, scored 14 points, grabbed six rebounds, and handed out four assists in the win.  He shot 75 percent (6-8) from the field, 2-3 from the free throw line and came up with three steals.  It is Funk’s fifth time appearing on the honor roll this season.

    Chang, a senior from Yilan, Taiwan, scored 29 points and dished out five assists in the win.  He shot 68.8 percent (11-16) from the field, 2-4 from three-point range, and a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line.  It is Chang’s sixth time on the honor roll this season.

    有人看過American One PPV的轉播品質嗎?我想這是唯一看張宗憲比賽的方式了。

    但說實話去年透過網路live看了D2的冠軍賽，強度真的跟電視上能看到的D1比賽有段差距，要不要為張宗憲而付費看D2比賽，心裡還挺掙扎的。

    拜託其他將在D2奮戰的台灣小將們趕快跨進D1的大門吧!

    Chang Honored for Seventh Time

     

    Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball player Jet Chang was named to the Pacific West Conference Honor Roll this week for his play in last week’s games.  Chang was honored for the seventh time this season for his play in the Seasiders’ three road games last week.

    Chang, a senior from Yilan, Taiwan, averaged 17.3 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per contest over the three games for the Seasiders.  He also came up with five steals for the week.  He tied for third in scoring in the conference for the week and ranked ninth in rebounding and seventh in steals.

    BYU-H今年球季結束,可惜今年進不了季後賽,也代表Jet這一季跟大學生涯賽季應該都結束了

    不曉得他再來的規劃是什麼,會不會試著投入NBA選秀?

    不曉得還有沒有圓球朋友有在跟他聯繫的?

    張所屬的PacWest去打West Regional  Elite 8的是PacWest冠軍Dixie St. 和排第三的Grand Canyon，BYU-H今年可惜了，開季的戰績不佳。
