A SENIOR Chinese basketball official admits China had been guilty of fielding over-aged players in youth internationals.
一位中国篮球官员正式承认中国在国际青年比赛中使用了超龄队员。
"I'm sorry to say that some of our past results from international youth games were not real as we had some over-aged players in the squads," Xinhua quoted Zhang Xiong, director of the training and research department of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), as saying today.

"But from now on, we promise to have real under-18 or under-20 national teams compete in our internationals."

Zhang did not elaborate as to which international matches had been tainted, but said that future age fraud would be dealt with harshly in a new registration policy implemented by the CBA.

"Age fraud is the cancer of the development of our youth teams. We will start a war against age fraud as we have against doping," Zhang said.

Under the CBA's "Notice of Registration", players who fake their age will be banned and teams fined up to 10,000 yuan ($1,660), Xinhua said.
根据CBA最新的球员注册规定，虚报年龄的球员会被CBA取消参赛资格，球队会罚款一万元。
Teams with three or more players found to have faked their age would be banned from competition for a year, and their coaches suspended for four years under the policy.
如全队有三名（含）以上队员违反注册规定，则取消该队当年的比赛资格。教练停赛四年。
"The 'Notice' is focusing on the prevailing age fraud in the field of basketball all around the country," Zhang said.
The CBA will also introduce "bone age detecting machines", and require that players provide proof of age from local government level, residence permits, identification cards and half-length photos when registering for youth teams.
Chinese media regularly slates national youth teams for stocking squads with over-age players to ensure good results.
In 2004, China's basketball administration found that nearly half of provincial-level team players competing at the national youth championships had faked their age.

我的看法......太好了....这么多年来...悬而未决的事情终于有了说法...我很庆幸中国篮协现在就被惩处.
我知道这样的事情不是光彩的事情
但是我真的很开心...真的很高兴这么快就能让篮协的卑劣行径曝光....
从今以后...我相信会有更多的适龄青年参加各级比赛....
这里想请问朱先生.....这件事被曝光以后...在你看来.中国篮协是否会痛改前非呢?
不管怎么样.烂人做的烂事...被人揭穿.总是让人心里很爽....
